The club welcomed more than 100 bowlers and their families to our annual Sportsmen’s Day, played in dry, sometimes sunny weather from first wood to last.
After copious pints, bacon butties, hotdogs, pasties (not to mention cakes, tea and coffee) the final was played out over 10 ends with COFERS beating The Plough by one shot having trailed 7-4 at the halway stage.
Thanks to all club members who supported the day – many spent more than 10 hours on duty on the day. And a huge thank you to Chris Wilcock for organising it yet again.
But the biggest thanks go to everyone who took part. See you again next year!
