Last Saturday’s casino night was a great success. As always, Angela and her team put on a fun evening transforming the clubhouse into a casino fit for 007 himself – bow ties, glamorous croupiers, up market canapes and, of course, cocktails. Our guest barmen – Bazza and Clive – brought along all the various ingredients for a full range of exotic cocktails, together with detailed instructions. Early on cocktail shakers, measures, crushed ice, cherries, lime slices, umbrellas etc etc were all in evidence, but as the night progressed the technique degenerated (or maybe improved) to one of “slosh a few things in and give it a good stir”. Regardless there were certainly no complaints – well, only one ….Mrs Andrews kept going on about the lack of sex on the beach! …..I didn’t even know they had been away!
