Congresbury Bowls Club maintained their usual high standard in the Clevedon Bowls Tournament. Two of Congresbury Juniors were in the annual Clevedon Bowls Tournament singles finals. Madi and Kimi both aged 17 had tough opposition in the final. Kimi, who had beaten a previous finalist in the semi final Clive Shipway of Congresbury had to play Sam Stocker of Clevedon and Madi who was looking to retain her title played against Stef Branfield. On the day both Clevedon players played well and came out winners 21 – 5 in both singles. Another Congresbury Junior, Lucas, 14 (Kimi’s brother) partnered with Kate Herbison and won the Mixed Pairs Tournament. Clive Shipway also won the Good Neighbour Cup.
