Congresbury Men looked to retain the Wedmore Plate this week, they had booked their place in the final after some very good wins against West Backwell, Bristol St Annes, Portishead RBL and Weston Bath along the way. In the final they played Weston St Andrews at Taunton Vivary in some fantastic conditions, unfortunately for Congresbury they were unable to retain the Wedmore Plate and lost to Weston St Andrews who were stronger than Congresbury on the day, the final result being Congresbury 59 Weston St Andrews 75.
