Tony Hall from the Bristol Dementia Action Alliance (BDAA) recently came to the club to give a very informative talk on many aspects of dementia. The audience heard about the different forms of dementia, the ways it presents itself and the methods we should all learn about how to deal with those who have the disease.
At the end of the talk Tony Lewis presented a cheque to the charity and advised that the BDAA is now one of our two chosen charities for fundraising over the next year.
Tony Hall then declared that Congresbury Bowls Club was now classified as a dementia friendly club.
