Madi Leads England Women to Gold at British Bowls U25 International Series

It was a weekend to remember for the England U25 Squad at the British Bowls U25 International Series, with the teams bringing home both gold and silver medals. Bristol Junior Success

The final of the Bristol Open Junior Singles took place tonight at Avonvale between Madi and Kimi. For the second year running, it was an all-Congresbury final. On a tricky Avonvale green, both players produced a hard-fought and entertaining match. In the end, Madi came out on top to claim a well-deserved victory.

Congresbury Dominates Somerset U18 Bowling Finals

Congresbury juniors dominated the annual Somerset U18 Singles Tournament at Chew Stoke Bowling Club on Sunday 31st August, with all finalists representing Congresbury Bowling Club. The event was sponsored by Terry Phillips of Avon Sportsground Maintenance. In the final, played over 10 ends, Lucas Powell faced Zach Broom. Street Success

On a blazing hot Sunday, August 10th, Lydia Sheldrake, Aaron Broom, and Madi King—skipped by Aaron’s 12-year-old younger brother, Zach Broom—lit up the Street Open Fours. The talented team swept the competition, winning all 4 games out of 4. With a superb shot difference to seal their triumph, they proudly took home the championship title.

Congresbury Conquers Clevedon!

Congresbury Bowls Club once again made their mark at the annual Clevedon Bowls Tournament, delivering an incredible week of performances that saw their colours fly high in final after final. The tournament opened with a damp Monday, but after that there was just one more brief wet interruption, leaving six glorious days of play for the bowlers to shine.
